The practice of Ayurveda is world’s oldest system of natural medicine, at least 5,000 years old. This natural medicine system does not treat the symptoms of a disease, but looks at the patient as complete whole. Its main focus is prevention of the dis-ease and promotion of positive health. According to Ayurveda, Health is a state of balance of mind, body and environment.
The ancient practice of Ayurveda believes humans are made up of three different ‘body types or individual constitution’ which correspond to our physical and personality traits, known as doshas. Doshas are self-regulatory system which help maintain normal body functions.
There are 3 different doshas/body constitutions are: Vata, Pitta and Kapha
Mind-body health and harmony may be challenged when any of the doshas become aggravated or imbalanced. Identifying your predominant dosha and potential imbalances, is the secret to keeping your mind-body balance in check. Our naturally dominant dosha, with which we are born with does not signify imbalance, but rather shows how – or who – we are in our most healthy, balanced state.

Together we’ll identify your Dosha (individual body constitution). From here you’ll be able to nurture balance between your mind and body by making the right food choices for your Dosha type. Understanding what foods to avoid and which ones to eat, will keep your Dosha in balance and your health in its own natural self-harmony.
Choosing the wrong foods, not according to your body constitution/dosha can result in an imbalance of your dosha. We’ll also identify other factors that may be contributing to an imbalance in your body Dosha. The following will slowly result in manifestation of various dis-ease conditions; constant exposure to environmental toxins, on-going stress, lack of physical activity, sleep and failure to follow structured daily routine.
By the time you’ve completed my Ayurvedic program you will be free of all symptoms you’re suffering from.
Healthy Exercise for the Mind, Body & Spirt
In addition to being a registered dietitian nutritionist, I’m also a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. While I believe exercise is essential to a healthy lifestyle, it doesn’t always have to involve heart pounding aerobic activity. Yoga is a wonderful way to connect a healthy mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental disciplines to manage stress and anxiety while improving muscle strength, energy and vitality.

STEP 1:Identify & Isolate
We will first determine what is your body Dosha/body constitution. This can be done by completing a questionnaire by you and observing your physical characteristics, observing the shape of your face, eyes, etc. We will also isolate the root cause of your current health issues and symptoms you are experiencing.
We will make changes in your diet, and eating habits to precisely match your unique body dosha as well as to correct an imbalance of your Dosha, if there is one. Eating the right foods according to your dosha, will help your mind, body and spirit to be in perfect balance. We will also correct other imbalances in your lifestyle like; stress management, regular bedtime routine and physical activity.
Additional natural herbal supplements may be required to help keep your body dosha in balance and in perfect harmony. You may also need some additional testing depending on your condition to achieve the perfect equilibrium of your health.

Gut Healing Program
If you’re suffering from IBS, IBD, constipation, constant diarrhea, bloating, ulcerative colitis or SIBO, you have an imbalance in your gut. These symptoms occur for a variety of reasons. Many people come into my office wanting to lose weight. Their looking for a way to balance their busy life with making the right choices. I help these clients by getting them to understand the root cause of the problem. We review inflammatory foods, nutrients, gut health, toxicity in their body and food intolerances.
For clients affected by anxiety, depression, obesity, brain fog, acne & skin problems, indigestion, insomnia, diabetes or autoimmune conditions, I may recommend a detox program. This needs to be done under expert supervision and advice. Together, we will reduce the toxicity in your body by making changes in your diet and add herbal supplements, antiinflammatory agents and herbal teas to support your liver.
In Ayurvedic medicine, we treat the patient as a whole instead of just treating the symptom. In my office, we focus on balancing your mind, body & environment.
